Steven Esteb - Writer / Director / Producer

With the arrival of DIRTY POLITICS, Steve has finally made good on that “worthless” Political Science degree. He also studied film in the graduate film program at Boston University.

He has written and directed five feature films and an acclaimed documentary, as well as numerous commercials and music videos.

The most successful, BALLER BLOCKIN', reached #1 worldwide on the Billboard charts and was quadruple platinum in video/DVD sales. A gritty urban crime drama set in pre-Katrina New Orleans, it still sets the bar for rap driven street films.

The most important, LIVING WITH…, was a film about caregivers working at an AIDS home in Santa Barbara. “I think I made a difference to some people when it really mattered most.”

After years working in Hollywood as a screenwriter and filmmaker, Steve now lives in rural Louisiana with his family. Still writing and still making films.
John McDougall - Producer / Director of Photography

A Louisiana based filmmaker who has been directing, shooting and editing commercials, music videos and feature films for over 16 years and is the owner of Filmdesign Productions LLC. He began his film career under the guidance of respected and award winning independent producer John Hardy. Over his career John has prided himself in maintaining high levels of production quality and creative behind the camera and in the editing room. As a cinematographer Dirty Politics is the second HD 24p feature he has shot, the transition to HD has presented unique challenges but also opened up new possibilities in techniques and styles of shooting. An example is that Dirty Politics required a large amount of handheld camera work and spontaneous movement while shooting a high footage to take ratio in a very limited production schedule.

Because of the activity in Louisiana with the aggressive film incentives, John also offers production services to other filmmakers from out of state as well as developing his own projects. John felt it was an honor and privilege to work with long time friend Steven Esteb, and also with fellow producer, John J. Anderson.
John J. Anderson - Producer

A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, filmmaker John J.Anderson has spent the last two decades honing his craft as a highly sought-after producer. Entering the industry in the early 1980s, Anderson worked almost exclusively on the west coast, particularly in Los Angeles. During his tenure at a host of professional firms, Anderson garnered many accolades for his work, including the Prime Time Emmy® Award, International Telly® and Addy® awards.

In 2002 Anderson formed L.I.F.T Productions of New Orleans. Since its inception, L.I.F.T. has produced over thirty feature films and long-form TV programs, spending in excess of $200 million in production costs.

John Anderson has now embarked on a new venture, leaving his position and departing from his managerial role at L.I.F.T. to create a hedge fund for film development. His new firm, The Andertainment Group will focus on long-term strategies to develop a plethora of projects, including but not limited to a series of films with budgets in the $5 million range.
